WE ARE FAMILY! Can you hear the music?
Being a part of a family with eight children has always been one adventure after another. As we grew up our parents instilled a strong sense of family and faith that has carried over into our individual families. My husband Jeff and I have been married for 16 years and even though we don't have children, we feel as though all of our nieces and nephews are a part of our family. One of the bonds that brings many of us together is the joy we get from riding bikes together. On any given Tuesday from spring until fall you will find at least 10 Romenesko family members joining in the weekly Tanner's Fat Tire Bike Club ride. Along with biking, one of the other great pleasures in my life is teaching and learning from 4th grade students. They keep me on my toes and bring a smile to my face each and every day.
Just over two years ago my brother, Joe Romenesko, had a massive stroke at the age of 48. Since then he has worked to become stronger himself as well as encouraging others that have had strokes. Our family has joined together to work along side Joe in his recovery and to help him spread the word about stroke prevention and rehabilitation. Together he rode on the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Ride Tour Stroke Team last year with our brother Paul and his good friend Bruce Hawley, this year my sister, Joni, and I are thrilled to join him in the ride.
