Elijah and Mom - Email Small

9-year-old Elijah survived an in-utero stroke. Despite his disability, he works to bring comfort to other young stroke survivors. He chose his mom as his Champion, saying, "Thanks mommy for helping me a lot and taking care of me."

Joe and Lisa - Email Small

Caregiver Lisa honored her husband and high school sweetheart, Joe, as her Stroke Champion. "Thank you for showing me and giving me the strength to be the caregiver you deserve," she asked us to tell him.

Joe and Bruce - Email small

Joe, a stroke survivor, honored his friend Bruce, who encouraged and supported him as he regained the use of his body and went on to ride on the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour team. "I don't think Bruce realizes what a great person he is," Joe wrote.
