New York Marathon

Nearly 795,000 people will suffer a stroke in 2011. The public is dangerously misinformed about stroke, but together we can save lives, improve quality of care and increase patient outcomes.

These are just a couple of the reasons National Stroke Association has organized a team of runners for the 2012 ING New York City Marathon. Every runner is devoting months of training as they prepare to run 26.2 miles through the streets of New York to raise awareness and funds to support the stroke cause. For each of these runners, the cause is personal. Read the runners' stories and support them generously – every contribution helps.
