Welcome to Megan Bailey's Comeback Trail - Washington D.C. fundraising page!
On April 22, I will join others to walk or run the Comeback Trail representing the journey of recovery for the stroke community. I am dedicated to raising stroke awareness and celebrating survivorship.
Until November 2013 I knew very little about stroke and the devastating impact it has on a person and their family. I've shared with very few people, and never publicly, about what happened to my father almost four years ago. In a blink of an eye, while he was getting ready for a normal day of work, his life and ours changed forever. My father's speech has diminished by 90% and he is now wheelchair bound forever. Forced into earlier retirement at age 58, he will never be the same. And while I sit here and write this down to share with all of you, I can still smile and know that not everyone's story is as bad as mine and even still, not as great. Please help me by donating just a few dollars to help this cause. I can't wait to get out there on April 22 to see all the survivors and their families and come together with this great community!
If you can't make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter!
Or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page!
Thanks so much for your generosity!
