Welcome to my Comeback Trail - Atlanta fundraising page!
I am thrilled to be participating in Comeback Trail - Atlanta. This 5K walk/fun-run represents the journey of recovery for the stroke community. I am dedicated to raising stroke awareness and celebrating survivorship through my participation. I also have a goal of raising at least $250 by October 7.
Did you know?
- Every 40 seconds someone in the U.S. experiences a stroke
- Every 4 minutes someone in the U.S. dies from a stroke.
- Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death in the U.S. & a leading cause of adult disability
- Stroke impacts more than 800,000 people each year.
It is important that we raise awareness for the disease.
Almost 2 years ago, my oldest child suffered a major stroke. It happened without warning. The day before she was a happy, healthy 28 year old mother of two boys and recent graduate of nursing school. The morning of December 7, 2015, she woke up fighting for her life. A life changed forever. Through hard work and small miracles, she participates in this event with her family tomorrow. This is not a victory celebration but another milestone in her comeback journey, each of which we celebrate.
Won't you help me support the National Stroke Association by making a donations today? The process is fast, easy, and secure. I truly appreciate any support you can provide. It will benefit a great cause!
Thanks so much for your generosity!
