As most of you know, our Dad had a stroke on April 12, 2018. He has been in rehab since the stroke. He is a fighter and works hard everyday, but his recovery still has a very long way to go. The stroke affected his ability to speak and his ability to move his right side.
There is still so much to be learned about stroke recovery. Our family wants to do our part to ensure that the research and the learning never stops. We want stroke patients to be given the best tools and chances for the best recovery possible. The caregivers also need our help. You never realize how much goes into caring for someone who has been affected by a stroke until you find yourself immersed in the daily care before you even realize it. We are raising awareness and celebrating stroke survivors at the Delaware Comeback Trail 5K - a charity event that supports the National Stroke Association. This 5K walk/fun-run empowers stroke survivors and caregivers to #ComebackStrong. We've set a fundraising goal to support the stroke rehabilitation and prevention efforts of the National Stroke Association.
Please support our team, and the 7 million stroke survivors in the United Sates, by making a donation today and/or joining our team and walking/running with us on October 6th. Any amount you are able to donate to this amazing cause and organization would be greatly appreciated. Together, we can empower survivors and caregivers as they come back strong from stroke.
