2018 Comeback Trail - Long Island

Em's Team

As many of you know, I suffered a stroke almost 5 years ago. After having life saving brain surgery I was able to work on my recovery. I relearned how to walk, talk and do simple tasks such as using a knife and fork. My boyfriend (now husband!), family and friends gave me the best support system as I continued to progress. I am so incredibly lucky for the amazing recovery I have had.

We are raising awareness and celebrating stroke survivors at the Long Island Comeback Trail 5K - a charity event that supports the National Stroke Association. This 5K walk/fun-run empowers stroke survivors and caregivers to #ComebackStrong. We've set a fundraising goal to support the stroke rehabilitation and prevention efforts of the National Stroke Association.

Please support our team, and the 7 million stroke survivors in the United Sates, by making a donation today. Together, we can empower survivors and caregivers as they come back strong from stroke.

Did you know?

  • Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death in the U.S. & a leading cause of adult disability.
  • Every 40 seconds someone in the U.S. experiences a stroke.
  • Every 4 minutes someone in the U.S. dies from a stroke.
  • Stroke kills two times more women than breast cancer annually.

That's why we are participating, will you join us?
