2018 Comeback Trail- Raleigh

Strength & Fortitude

Hi Friends.  When I was one month shy of 25 years old, I suffered a sudden and totally uexpected hemorrhagic stroke. I realize now that I'm fortunate to have survived.  In spite of some physical limitations, I've persisted and attempted many activities over the years.

I'm proud now to tell you that I WILL try and I WILL walk this 5K to raise funds and awareness for stroke survivors. My team and I are raising awareness and celebrating stroke survivors at the Raleigh Comeback Trail 5K - a charity event that supports the National Stroke Association. This 5K walk/fun-run empowers stroke survivors and caregivers to #ComebackStrong. We've set a fundraising goal to support the stroke rehabilitation and prevention efforts of the National Stroke Association. Please support our team, and the 7 million stroke survivors in the United States, by making a donation today.

Together, we can empower survivors and caregivers as they come back strong from stroke.

Did you know?

  • Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death in the U.S. & a leading cause of adult disability.
  • Every 40 seconds someone in the U.S. experiences a stroke.
  • Every 4 minutes someone in the U.S. dies from a stroke.
  • Stroke kills two times more women than breast cancer annually.

That's why we are participating, will you join us?
