Please help me with my 5TH COMEBACK TRAIL!!!
I am raising awareness and celebrating stroke survivors and carers at the 2018 Long Island Comeback Trail 5K. This 5K walk/fun-run supports the National Stroke Association and empowers stroke survivors and caregivers to #ComebackStrong.
On December 10, 2012, I became a stroke survivor. Almost four years later, on October 22, 2016, I participated in my first Comeback Trail 5K, at Jones Beach, New York, with my husband, Terry Kennedy, and some of our NY family. Since then, I've walked 3 more Comebacks in New York and Chicago. This October 20's Comeback Trail Jones Beach will be my 5th COMEBACK TRAIL!!!
I never could have done this on my own, and I want to help others. I have set a fundraising goal to support the stroke rehabilitation and prevention efforts of the National Stroke Association.
Please support me and the 7 million other stroke survivors in the United Sates by making a donation today. And if you're able to walk with us, please consider joining my team! Together, we can empower survivors and caregivers as they come back strong from stroke.
Did you know?
- Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death in the U.S. & a leading cause of adult disability.
- Every 40 seconds someone in the U.S. experiences a stroke.
- Every 4 minutes someone in the U.S. dies from a stroke.
- Stroke kills two times more women than breast cancer annually.
That's why I'm participating, will you join me?
