My family and I are celebrating stroke survivors by participating in the Come Back Trail 5K walk/fun run--a charity event that supports the National Stroke Association. We are doing this in support of my mother (a stroke survivor) and in memory of family members and friends who have suffered from strokes in the past. This event empowers stroke survivors and caregivers to #ComebackStrong. We have set a fundraising goal to support the stroke rehabilitation and prevention efforts of the National Stroke Association.
Please support our efforts, and the 7 million stroke survivors in the United Sates, by joining us on the Come Back Trail walk/fun run or by making a donation today (or both!). Together, we can empower survivors and caregivers as they come back strong from stroke.
Did you know?
- Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death in the U.S. & a leading cause of adult disability.
- Every 40 seconds someone in the U.S. experiences a stroke.
- Every 4 minutes someone in the U.S. dies from a stroke.
- Stroke kills two times more women than breast cancer annually.
That's why I'm participating; will you join me?
