New Mom and Stroke Survivor

Just had my first baby and then had to fight for my life.

I was 28 years old. I had gone through 18 hours of labor just to end up with a C- Section. I went home 3 days later and thought the hard part was over. I ended up with the worst migraine of my life, thinking it was just a side effect from just having a BABY! I let it go. Well I ended up having a hemorrhage deep inside my brain that no one could do anything about. The leakage was too deep to operate and because I had just had a c-section and was breast feeding there was no medication that could be given to me either. It was the single worst scenario that any new parent could face. I went through months of rehabilitation and it was hard trying to recover from a stroke while forming a relationship with my little human. Two years later we are all doing just fine. I still don't know why this happened to me but I'm just happy to be here.
