After a stroke, damage to the brain can cause arm and leg muscles to cramp or spasm—a condition called spasticity. There are many strategies and treatments for spasticity to help stroke survivors recover, return to work and regain function.

Spasticity Alliance

Spasticity affects more than 12 million people throughout the world. In order to build support for those affected by spasticity, several patient advocacy organizations, including the National Stroke Association, formed the Spasticity Alliance to address conditions and treatment options.
